Right now I am reading in Chapter 3 and right now all that is happening is Nick is invited to one of Gatsby's parties. The word around town that Nick has been hearing and that they keep explaining through the book is that Gatsby throws great parties. Nick does decide to go to the party and there is where I stopped reading before Nick got to the party.
I like how Fitzgerald played this out the first time Nick and Gatsby met there was really no action but now I get the feeling that Fitzgerald did that on purpose to let the real action between the two unfold at the party. Now I don't really criticize Fitzgerald for what he has done. I am going to predict that at the party something big will happened between Gatsby and Nick. I say this because Gatsby throwing the great parties like everyone says he does has to have something great up his sleeve for the party and that something great I bet is going to be related to Nick I bet. Also it is going to be really interesting to see how Fitzgerald plays out Gatsby because I mean everyone keeps talking about him so I can't wait to see what is really up with Gatsby.

FANTASTIC blog entries--the perfect combination of summary and thoughts about the book. You've chosen a great classic to begin with, and you are likely finishing it by now. I wonder what your thoughts are at the end.
Perfect score on the first blog grading, but you're a bit behind on posting for the 2/17 blog. Add more! I'm ready to read more of your thoughts!
What an intelligent young man.
